JSW Cement’s Balaji Temple (Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh)

Developed by the JSW Group to fulfill the request of local people, who are predominantly devotees of Lord Venkateswara, the Balaji Temple is spearheaded by JSW’s Ms. Anushree Jindal and designed and executed by Shri Sameep Padora. The temple is constructed using locally available black limestone.  The temple's design incorporates features that also aim to maintain the local water level. The shrine is dedicated to Hindu Gods Balaji and Varahaswamy. A pond has been built as part of the temple to help retain and recharge the local groundwater level. The pond’s water level is replenished naturally and supplemented by water from nearby quarries. This replenishing system offers relief in the arid terrain of the area. This region is well known for its chilli and cotton farms.
